In recent years, Angel Investing has become one of the most talked about avenues, yet it remains veiled in mystery. Yet there is definitely a method to the madness and that is what this masterclass will uncover. The masterclass will cover a variety of topics related to successful angel investing, starting from what to look for in an opportunity, how to evaluate, how to understand, how to protect your interests and how to build a performing portfolio. Aiming at educating more people about angel investing to encourage more funding for startups.
The African Business Angel Network (ABAN), Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A), and Alexandria Angel Network (Alex Angels) are putting together a remarkable masterclass for Angel Investors featuring Julian Costley. Julian's career has included senior executive roles at Reuters, France Telecom, BSB (later BSkyB) and the UK's internet stockbroking firm E*Trade. He is an experienced angel investor for businesses in the UK, Canada, Scandinavia, the Netherlands and China. Alongside investing, he has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs turn their dreams into revenue and is also an occasional lecturer, mentor and course judge at the London Business School and other MBA schools around Europe, and has written books such as How to Use Crowdfunding.
The event will also include a delegation of investors, and investment network founders and executives such as Dr. Khaled Ismail, Founder and Chairman HIM Angel - Ben White, Founder Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A) - David Van Dijk, Co-founder and Director General of ABAN - Thomas van Halen, Investor Relations and Research Lead Venture Capital for Africa (VC4A).
